Etienne Aigner B’Storm

Well another awesome turnout for the 60th Anniversary of Etienne Aigner brainstorm, and the ideas were flowing like crazy. It is great that the brand has such a rich heritage. There was a lot of thinking around how to "contemporize" and celebrate the brand while playing up the heritage – burgundy leather, “A” logo, timeless style. We were amazed at how many collectors and all the vintage Etienne Aigner that is available out there. There was a lot of discussion around the equestrian/preppy heritage and how to bring that to life as well.

We also discussed how fashion changes in a bad economy, and that people tend to gravitate to the familiar. We’ll have to research further.

I liked the horsey path we were going down here too! Look forward to talking more at our update meeting in a few minutes!

Can someone share the horsey path with me? I might be able to build on it as I just attended a very cool webinar.

EA has a great equestrian style heritage, and we like the idea of continuing this with something that's preppy, traditional, classic, high-quality, iconic. We're researching some ideas in this area, but would love any thoughts. If you haven't already, feel free to check out the EA website to get a feel for the brand's equity as well.

Maybe we can brainstorm this further?

I remember growing up that Etienne Aigner always stood for quality and class. My mom's special occasion handbag was Aigner and my first pair of Aigner "interview shoes" after college I purchased from Dayton's department store. Is there something we can do to leverage that heritage of quality and capitalize on the tradition of "handing down" style tips from mother to daughter?
